Maariah has a background in early childhood education and taught in New Zealand and Australia. It was in Australia where she extended into an early childhood early intervention role that had a focus on families that have children with disabilities/developmental delay.

Now, as a Talking Matters Community Activator based in Auckland, Maariah is able to utilize her experiences within child development and education to support communities and whānau to enrich the language environment experienced by children in their first 1000 days.
