Iuliana Rodinciuc
Community Activator
Iuliana Rodinciuc is an experienced educator, researcher, facilitator and educational leader with more than 20 years of experience across early childhood education, professional learning, organisational leadership and community development in Aotearoa New Zealand.
As a Kaiārahi and facilitator with Talking Matters, Iuliana works alongside teachers, leaders and communities to strengthen language-rich environments that support children’s communication, identity, wellbeing and belonging. She is recognised for her ability to translate research into practical strategies that empower educators and create meaningful change within early learning settings.
Iuliana holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Auckland, where her research explored the emotional experiences of teachers and families during periods of educational change. She is also a published researcher and author whose work examines the intersections of language, emotion, culture, identity and children’s wellbeing within diverse communities.
Throughout her career, Iuliana has led early childhood services, developed professional learning programmes, supported organisational change and worked extensively alongside Māori, Pasifika and multicultural communities. Her experience spans educational leadership, mentoring, workforce capability building, family engagement and the facilitation of evidence-informed professional development across the sector.
At the heart of Iuliana’s work is a strong commitment to supporting system-wide improvement across the early childhood education sector. She believes that sustainable change occurs when educators, leaders, whānau and communities work together to create learning environments where every child can thrive. Her professional goal is to contribute to system-wide change that improves educational outcomes for tamariki across Aotearoa New Zealand, ensuring that language, relationships, culture and belonging remain central to children’s learning journeys.
Guided by the principles of Language. Emotion. Culture. Identity., Iuliana continues to advocate for equitable, culturally responsive and relationship-based approaches that strengthen both professional practice and outcomes for tamariki, whānau and communities throughout Aotearoa.
