Mike is currently a Board Trustee and member of the finance and risk committee for The Talking Matters Charitable Trust. He transitioned to the Trust Board from the NEXT Foundation, where he was  involved with Talking matters as a NEXT representative from its inception and NEXT became a funder, 9 years ago.

 Mike is a father to 2 adult tamariki and proud poppa to 4 mokopuna. Talking Matters has given him valuable insights from our progress and he has used those learnings often, when he talks and listens with his mokopuna.

Mike sits on a number of commercial Boards as an independent Chairman, co-owns a company in Tauranga and balances the rest of his time working with individuals or private companies as an advisor.

When he is not engaged with other people in commerce, he is either with his wife of 40 years at his Langs Beach home, spending time with family or can be seen riding his mountain bike or his Harley Davidson motorbike around New Zealand.
